Ink Drawing FAQ
How long does it take?
Turaround time is largely based on my current demand and the size/complexity of your piece. A time estimate will be given to you before you order. Please allow more time around the holidays or if your piece is particularly complex.
What materials do you use?
All materials used are professional, archival quality. The ink I use is AP certified and archival. All claybord is created by Ampersand and is archival and acid free. Upon completion, all artwork is coated with varnish, which protects against UV and dust. Take care of the artwork, and it will last forever!
Do you frame the artwork?
Framing cost is dependant on size. I only ship artwork with acrylic glazing, not glass, due to breakage concerns when shipping.
Can I use the artwork on t-shirts and other merchandise?
No, all copyright is retained by the artist and all artwork is intended for personal use. If you are interested in licensing my artwork, please contact me.
How much is shipping?
All shipping is included within the US. Rush shipping is available upon request. Please contact for quote if shipping outside the US.
How does payment work?
All payments are requested through Venmo at shelby-elizabeth-art, or via my website. You can select payment of total price upon booking, or pay a $50 deposit with the balance due before your custom piece is shipped.
Do you have a contract?
Yes, for orders of $500+ or upon request, a contract will be sent and agreement is required before artwork can be started. The contract protects both the client and the artist, and lays out expected due dates as well as other general info. View a sample contract here.
Any tips for making my artwork the best it can be?
Yes! Great photos are the most important thing for an amazing piece. The better the photo, the more detail I can see and the better the final artwork. The best photos are high resolution with natural lighting, with the eyes clearly visible! Communication is also very important in ensuing you get an amazing piece of art you love forever!
